Considering that guitars and strings are very innacurate analog devices, I'd go cheap and cheerfull if i were you. You can't tune the untunable. I use my computer.

With the money you save you can treat the wife. Viagra's good.

Viagra? Hey Lee, here's a tip for you: next time you take your main squeeze out to dinner and a movie, ask her to wear a favorite skirt or dress but no underwear. By the time the two of you get home you'll both have had an evening to think about it and I'll bet you won't need no viagra! :laugh2: Lew

That Peterson VS Strobe Tuner that a few of the blokes have been talking about sounds too awesome, I've checked their website out, I wanna get my hands on that :P.

Hey Lew, you've gotten enough advice here, so I'll just post for the heck of it lol !!! The Sabine and Korg Rack tuners are always good, and for a decent pedal tuner, the Boss TU-2 is a good bet. There ya go !!! Earth shattering, Groundbreaking advice on tuners LOL !!!! .....:)

Re: I need a new guitar tuner...recomendations?

Thanks Guys! I went with a $20 Korg. Chromatic, I can recalibrate it, it has a virtual meter and also the green & red light thing going for it. I dunno...seems to work great and it's about the size of an Altoids can but thinner. Looked at the more expensive stuff but just didn't seem worthwhile. Thanks again! Lew

Hey Lew, you must be talking about the CA-30 (or 20 I forget), the first one they made like that was the CA-20(or 10 I forget), the early series ran off a 9V and where kinda box sahped; worked great: Korg discovered that they could make them smaller, and more compact (ala credit card size) and save money ...then came to later series that ran off (2) AAA batteries. same features. That was the first *cheap*tuner that I ever ran across that actually performed well. Just a bit of trivia there. :)

That's the one...CA-30. Works great for what I need it to do. The virtual dial is a bit dim and might be tough to read on a dark stage...but I don't play out on to many dark stages anymore. :) Lew
