I need a new Wah

Re: I need a new Wah

I like the Morley opto types. If I had the money to spend over again, it would go on a Bad Horsie 2.

Er, why is this thread in Off Topic?

Re: I need a new Wah

Bad Horsie 2. It's a little bit removed from the standard wah sound and feel, but I find it very expressive. The auto on/off might come in handy for those less-than-sober occasions.

Re: I need a new Wah

Ace? Why is this not in the Pedal Board room? You're no noob, this is one demerit for you!

That being said, I really love my true bypass Crybaby which is the GCB-95F Crybaby classic model with the red fasel. However, I am thinking of getting a LED installed as well as a volume pot installed. Last time I tried to mod a pedal it didn't go so well so I will probably try to find someone local to do the work or ship it off to SD user guitarfeak if he is willing to take on the project.

I love the tone but it comes on extremely loud and agressive which is fine, just turn down the volume knob on the guitar but for two songs in particular I do not have time to turn down the knob fist when I switch mid song. Also, a blue LED is kinda sweet so why not throw that in there. I am sure there are other great wahs that have the features I'm looking for already but I have grown to love the tone of this one. It is a balls to the wall wah, no games, no gimmicks.

Re: I need a new Wah

Ibanez Weeping Demon
Just wanted to reinforce this recommendation.

It can be switched between modes for turning it on via switch, or when you move the pedal (a la Bad Horsie). It has a light indicating when it is engaged. It is nearly infinitely tweakable. PLUS it is affordable (WHOA! This is about $20 less than I paid over 10 years ago).

I have ZERO regrets with this pedal. I wish the onboard wah on the POD sounding half as good as the WD7.

What's it like for shredding and Slash stuff ?

Re: I need a new Wah

30,000 posts and I put one in the wrong place….sweet jeebus.

You know, one of the mods could fix this easily. They could fix my gloss while they are at it.

It's a thread you started, not a post. " Misplaced Identity "

As much as I wanted to like the Ibanez,it just wasn't happening for me.Great feature-set,but the tone wasn't there.

+ another for Morley...

Re: I need a new Wah

Just out of curosity, why do you need the light? I can hear it pretty clearly when mine is on.....

And one would think that at some point in the last 15 years Ace would have learned exactly what happens when he mentions gloss, especially his, and especially that it needs to be fixed....

WE GOT OUSELVES A LIVE ONE AGAIN, ADMINS!!!!!!! :firedevil:D

Glaze! Glaze! Glaze! Glaze! Glaze! Glaze! Glaze! .... :lmao:

Re: I need a new Wah

Ace has only just "recovered" from his avatar being changed to a knitted monkey figure of Frehley and, then, Gene's Left Boot. As the run up to December 25th begins, there is no telling what might be bestowed upon him?
