you guys are all great. Hoss i will talk to you about the amp in a week or so. if they don't find anything i am going to replace the amp. i may take you up on the loan of the tech 21 for a while though till i can find a nice amp at a reasonable price.

even if it is damaged i would love to get it back. i can always replace tolex or grill cloth or something like that but i really want my tele back unharmed. unfortunately they didn't take the case for the tele so it is probably not coming back unharmed

Post pics of the gear on a flyer at your apartments mail boxes (or another central location) and offer a $500 reward- no questions asked. Do this a.s.a.p. Start spreading a rumor throughout the complex that the cops have good leads (maybe a witness?) and an arrest is coming soon- that will scare some people into giving the gear back.

it is already going though the complex that there are more than one witness and a license plate number.

Man, my heart pours out to you! That is one of my greatest fears. My Mr. Positive, Mr. Niceguy demeanor goes straight out the window for the kind of dirtbag that would ruin you like that!
I can only tell you what I'd do if I were put in your shoes....

Print up hundreds of fliers, offering a reward for any confidential info about someone attempting to sell your equipment, and put them on all the street corners within 3 miles of your apartment. Promise complete confidentiality for ANY info whatsoever!

In the local tradepaper, use a different name and number to place a WANTED ad for equipment.....Will pay top dollar for Fenders, vintage and boutique amps. You may snare the bastard that way.

I'll won't go further with the violent scenarios,but I'd be ready to play judge, jury, and executioner the second I knew who the culprit was. Also, consider ALL the people who have ever been in your house, as an aquaintance, or friend of a friend. Those are usually the ones.

i talked to Scott last night on the phone...and i have to say...he is taking it 10x better than i would...and i commend him on that for sure...!

evidently there are some eyewitness neighbors who actually called the police...so at least there are some good leads...i hope he gets them and they are in decent shape!!!

Here in South Africa we have to have bars on all the windows. Electric fencing on the walls, automated gates, cops for hire escorts for late nite arrivals at home etc. And still you get robbed. I had a break in while I was asleep, and they took my Hofner archtop, Yamaha Acoutics, electrics X3 and all the other AV gear/tv/VHS etc.

Scum will always get at your stuff, whatever precautions.
Here the cops don't even bother with housbreaking. Murder takes most of their time.

i'm so sorry about this and i wish there is more i could do than just tell you that. keep strong like you are cause you're amazing with how you're handling this thing. and i am definately glad nobody got hurt. and at least you know it's not me that took your guitar or was involved in it! cause i'm normally in your apartment, but i've been on the other side of the world for the last 3 months. but i guess if i were home, i might have been in your apartment waiting for you to get home and of course, protecting all your gear from greedy people. sooo...maybe it were better i was home.... (gosh, i'm not good at this whole cheering up thing...)
