Well, not every amp ever, but every amp I've ever really wanted. When I picked up the guitar again ca. 2015 after a few years away, I found that there were really only a few tones that I desired:
* Classic Marshall
* ADA MP-1
* Soldano
* Rockman
…and here we are, kinda:
(Rockman XP100 1988, Soldano Hot Rod 50 1992, Marshall JVM Satriani model, 2015, ENGL Blackmore, 2024)
Not depicted are a couple of MP-1s and a JCM 800 combo.
The ENGL was not a requirement, but I did get a good deal and used to be a massive Ritchie Blackmore fanboi, so why not? It does a slightly more modern thing if I ever need it.
In any case, I acquired these over the last few years, at a time when I was moving a lot across borders. Having finally managed to collect them all, I wonder if there is anywhere to go from here? I can get things in smaller (rack Rockman, combos) or more flexible packages (multichannel Soldano), but honestly, this still feels like it: every sound I've ever really wanted.
From here on out I guess it is all going to be finding speakers to match and, y'know, writing actual songs to play through them!
