I Now Own All The Amps!

Well, not every amp ever, but every amp I've ever really wanted. When I picked up the guitar again ca. 2015 after a few years away, I found that there were really only a few tones that I desired:

* Classic Marshall
* ADA MP-1
* Soldano
* Rockman

…and here we are, kinda:

(Rockman XP100 1988, Soldano Hot Rod 50 1992, Marshall JVM Satriani model, 2015, ENGL Blackmore, 2024)

Not depicted are a couple of MP-1s and a JCM 800 combo.

The ENGL was not a requirement, but I did get a good deal and used to be a massive Ritchie Blackmore fanboi, so why not? It does a slightly more modern thing if I ever need it.

In any case, I acquired these over the last few years, at a time when I was moving a lot across borders. Having finally managed to collect them all, I wonder if there is anywhere to go from here? I can get things in smaller (rack Rockman, combos) or more flexible packages (multichannel Soldano), but honestly, this still feels like it: every sound I've ever really wanted.

From here on out I guess it is all going to be finding speakers to match and, y'know, writing actual songs to play through them!

Nice lineup. I feel that I'm lucky to own one or two of "the amps". There are a lot more that I'd like, but I'm not lacking anything for getting the sounds I want. I just hope nothing breaks!

Love the line up, man. I have definitely hit "The Wall". Once I got my VOX AC30 I actually sold off my Randell. I might thin out the collection a bit more.

It is definitely the Stranger in Us All and beyond tone. It is a good tone, but you search in vain for Highway Star in there. The JVM could probably get a lot closer.

I'd even settle for earlier Rainbow, or Stormbringer-era Deep Purple, but it is good to know!

What I have vs Want

Mesa Stiletto - Marshall 2555: I want classic Marshall sounds, either works. Mesa is wayyyy sexier!
Fender Pro Jr - Peavey Classic 30: I want a nice fender clean sound. Classic 30 would be way sexier.
Peavey Studio Pro silver Transtube - Peavey express Silver Transtube: Meh - basically the same amp.
Marshall VS100R - Marshall VS100R: Wanted it, got it. Wouldn't mind another!
HK Tubemeister18 - ???: Because sometimes you want something modern different.

I think patience will find me a Classic 30 sometime and I'll ditch the fender.
A Marshall 2525 head might be a nice low wattage addition when the Mesa is a bit much...

I'm close, but fairly satisfied. The misses are not causing me any pain.

Have one, look cool, love the blue ELD lights in it with the clear face on it but with the T75s in the Marshall cab, its harsh sounding. Maybe a different speaker would tame it a bit, but not about to change out the OG T75s in my Jubilee cab.

It also maybe that I haven't been able to turn it up loud enough to get a good tone out of it. Ill say on the 5 watt setting, I swear its as loud or louder than my 2250. Maybe more how its overall much brighter than the Jube.

Havent hooked up the Tubemeister since we moved in, though the space my guitar gear in is very echo'y, not sure how well that would place out. If I have time in the next day or so, Ill try it out.

As far as this thread goes, a Marshall 1987X or other 70s Plexi flavor and to the other end, an Engl Fireball 25 and Id be happy.

I keep buying High gain heads and realizing I am a fender guy

I like the cleans on most all of them

my H&K tonemeister does almost every thing

I got the Joyo Zombie because I liked the High gain mid push in the reviews better than the VIVO kinda bright sounding gain structure
and never play that type of music

I got modeling pedals with all the amps inside
I always go for the Deluxe or Twin to evaluate if they are good pedals or not

current modeler stays on the 65 deluxe all the time

it sounds awesome
why noddle around with anything else

That's a nice assortment you have.
Myself, I'm good on amps... but I'll probably get another sometime.
