I posted the wrong clip in the last one *hits self*

Alright I meant to post this one last time. I agree the last one had some major flaws in it :smack:. A lot of the chords did go "clunk"

This on'es tone may be worse but I din't want to re-record it.

here it is: Linky

How does this sound scratch the tone?

Re: I posted the wrong clip in the last one *hits self*

Here's the chord progression
Front guitar: Emaj7/B | B7 | B7sus | B7sus | Amaj7 | Amaj7 |
B7sus | B7 |

It switches between B7sus and B7 at the end and the harmony part ends on a B7sus.

Harmonies: the notes underneath follow the chords played by the front guitar directly

Eb and B | A and Eb | E | E | Gb | E | Eb |

E and Eb switch with B7sus and B7

The riff at the end of the part with 2 guitars goes like this under a B7sus chord

E | Eb | E | Gb | E | Eb | B |

Re: I posted the wrong clip in the last one *hits self*

it turns out that the last one wasn't in E major :laugh2:

Re: I posted the wrong clip in the last one *hits self*

I think it sounds fine, although the tone sucks like you said. But those chords are pretty cool. I'm going to look up the chords right now, and play them through my 'rig' to see how it sounds. But I really liked the chord prog (or what I could hear of it).
:)

Re: I posted the wrong clip in the last one *hits self*

There were definitely some cool parts to it, and overall the progression is very cool. My only problem is I just don't like the strum pattern, though I do like the chords. But that's just a matter of personal opinion I guess, and I'm sure it would sound better with a good tone. Nice work though... do you mind if I mess around with this progression?

You should experiment with your microphone before recording so that you don't end up with something you want to keep with crap tone.

Re: I posted the wrong clip in the last one *hits self*

I think I'm going to redo it. Same chord progression. That's my absolutely useless SS amp. I'm going to use my other one now. It's too early but I'll redo it in a bit,

Do what you wish. Just don't call it your own ;)

That's pretty cool if that was meant as an insult.

:laugh2:

So THAT's why your chords didn't match up :laugh2:

I can't listen now. But I will.

Yeah, I was all high and mighty with my chords and you guys were wondering why the Jesus I wasn't playing an Emaj7 :laugh2:

Re: I posted the wrong clip in the last one *hits self*

...as for the tone... either clean it up or dirty it up some more :laugh2: inbetween distorted/clean tones can sound good... one tip might be to work on how your attack affects the sound of things... Then it won't be so prevalent whenever you strum hard, unless you want it to be.

it's solid :smokin:

The tone comes from the worst amp in the world. I don't know why I used that amp. It's solid state but it distorts at that level in a really bad way. :smack:
