I put on some Lipstick...

Pickups . They are crazy! I recommend them. They sound surfey and jangley . First thing I thought was Steve Miller "Big ol Jet Airliner".
I got this Ibanez Talman, its a 1994.Its a Alder resin guitar, and sounds vintagey, but cheap. Next year it'll be a classic.

I got it for $200.00, and it had EMG's, which i sold and bought some lipsticks to return it to stock, but you can see where I had to cover up the battery box hole. The nut was busted, so I had to build up the nut with plastic shavings and crazy glue.

Then I filed down some indents on the first few frets some. Its a jangly sound, I think they only go about 4-5K resistance, so its very poppy and crisp. I think i'll dump this and make a proper Strat with Seymour Duncan lipsticks pickups ; its such a cool tone;

Re: I put on some Lipstick...

looks good Jer!

I love those old Talmans. Such cool guitars, and so easy to play.

Re: I put on some Lipstick...

I have the P90 model. They are nice guitars but hard to keep in tune.
