I really like this hydrid . . .

Re: I really like this hydrid . . .

No. The Tele parts are really ugly. They give it a 'high school shop project' look.

Re: I really like this hydrid . . .

Kinda reminds me of the people that put a 350 Chevy in a '32 Ford...

Re: I really like this hydrid . . .

I dig it. It's sort of 'the guitar that could never be,' simply because Gibson can't legally produce it.

I'm sure the guys over at TDPRI tele forum all want one now!

Re: I really like this hydrid . . .

If it had a Deluxe style mini-humbucker in the neck, six saddle bridge and ebony fretboard it would be perfect for me.

Re: I really like this hydrid . . .

I like unique and different as much as the next guy, but no I don't like that. That's me personally though. I don't like those telecaster style bridges, so the guitar wouldn't be a pleasure for me to play. That being said, I do appreciate the uniqueness.

Re: I really like this hydrid . . .

It really doesn't do it for me and I am a SG/Telecaster guy.

Re: I really like this hydrid . . .

i would have used the tele bridge but excluded the tele switch plate.... which is exactly what i did with the Jateleguar.

Re: I really like this hydrid . . .

yea i never understood why people put small block chevys in vintage fords when the SBF makes more power(excluding the LS1).

Not to steer the topic in a different direction but that is because the aftermarket for the Chevy SB is 10X as big as Ford, flip through a Jeg's catalog. (And Chevy designed their SB family better than the Ford counterparts. The 350 will go down in history for being the best engine produced, the 302/5.0 in a distant 2nd)

The LS1 already FAR surpassed the gen1 and gen2 SBC and SBF as far as being the best bang:buck. When built properly, a 351W can easily make more power than the chevy 350 equivalent. The chevy just has more aftermarket and is easier to build, so they're naturally more popular.

LSX>SBF>SBC
