I'll keep this short and sweet because I need to go to work.
My mate wanted to buy a decent amp to use in a Maiden tribute band. So before he went and bought a cheap second hand JCM900 I told him to check out this great Peavey dealer we have here in Melbourne because I thought they might have something worthwhile and cheaper than anything else new. I was thinking about maybe a XXX combo or something but then I walked in and saw the Valveking and remembered all the praise these things have got from this and other forums...but I'd never tried one for myself.
Well, like I said, the hat is off Peavey :amish:
This is a 100watt all valve 212 combo. It has an awesome sounding clean channel. It has an awesome sounding gain channel which gets into as much useable high gain territory as anyone would want. It can even go between class A and class A/B operation...and you can blend between the two (not sure if this is real or just emulated, but it's still cool).
And the kicker...it cost as much brand new as a Marshall AVT 100 single 12" combo...need I say more.
This thing is awesome for the money...and even if it were more expensive it would still be an awesome amp. Go and try one if you haven't, just so you can tell others how friggin awesome they are!
Bravo Peavey...bravo :reporter:
(now I'm late for work...see what I do for you guys! :smack: )
