I have a 1996 MIM Jimmy Vaughan endorsed (not his later signature strat) Tex-Mex Stratocaster. I have looked and it was suppose to come in different colors along with Lake Placid Blue for that year. Mine is Daphne Blue.

Does anyone know anything more about this? I bought the guitar brand new at Del's Music center in Holland, Michigan, so I know it came from the factory this way.

Those were actually pretty cool guitars...the Jimmy Vaughan sig Strat has better hardware but they also sell/sold for a fair bit more $$$. FWIW, there were Daphne blue Tex-Mex strats in the ads they used in GW and GP...

Thanks bro! Looks like I have a regular. That is okay though. The guitar is an awesome player. Super nice neck and pickups. :)

i had a 1996 Tex Mex strat in light yellow... i should of hung onto it but i sold it to fund a different strat... That Tex Mex was cool! I tried different PU's and nothing really worked better then the stock PU's so i returned it to stock.. it was like brand new too when i sold it...

Point of information: "Jimmie Vaughan" is the correct spelling.
