Re: I'd like satin/brushed nickel 'bucker covers, can Duncan do this for me?
Careful, I saw an aged pick up cover from Throbak I think for almost 70.00 Dollars! On the other hand, I saw a "bare" nickel HB cover from MojoTone for only 9-10 bucks. It looked pretty brushed to me, but check it out, and man, I just can't see how someone could charge that much for a cover.
The Throbak guy went on and on about the need for his proprietary method!
So did the guy from Stephens Designs. Like only he and God knew how to make a pickup! And only cause the guy at SDesigns told God about it!
I just don't get it.
6 or $700.00 bucks for a pair of pickups. I trust Seymour Duncan. Seems like they walk the talk but I can still afford a pickup from them. So by their very boastfulness they are absolutely implying that Duncan is selling very inferior products.
Mr. Scopp (I hope the spelling is correct) from management, does this not make you a little, what's the word? Angry? Or do you just laugh these guys off? I mean, I know this is about pup covers but it comes down to choices and this leads to the kind of BS I read from these guys.
Not trying to hijack thread, just got me all worked up when I saw their propaganda.
I better stop. How can these people stay in business when they cost so much but famous people use Duncan products anyway, even rich ones?
