Hello guys,

I am new to this forum, I never had any quircks finding info or needing tips on pickups, but upon exchanging a bridge HB from Seth Lover to JB (for a customer, I am a luthier) I tried placing the Seth Lover but can't find anything. I hope you guys can help out...details on the pickup:

Nickel plated humbucker. 2 signatures in blue on the back over the serial# sticker from Seth E Lover and Seymour W Duncan. Serial seems to say (not sure on the last 2 digits) 96044725 and another sticker with BP. 8.22kOhms, braided wire with one lead in black.

Many thanks!!!

Welcome to the forum. Yes, it's a Seth Lover.

Thanks a lot for the reply!

I gathered it was a Seth Lover already ;)

Do you know where the BP stands for??? It is not in the regular listings....I assume looking at the serial it is from 1996?

Re: Identifying Seth Lover pickup

Not trying to hijack the thread, but this brings up an interesting question. Do all Seth Lover pickups have the signatures of Seymour Duncan and Seth Lover on the baseplate? Thanks!

Re: Identifying Seth Lover pickup

The "BP" probably stands for bridge pickup. I haven't looked at mine in a while to remember. At 8.22K it's a bridge Seth. The necks are in the 7K range.

To answer jKats: Yes all Seths should have the signatures (done by machine, not by hand....Antiquity's are signed by hand)
