Re: If you had your own signature guitar...
1. Company would you choose
2. Pickups would you have
3. Strings and guage would you have
4. Finish options
i already had a custom gibson mapped out. it went something like this:
double cut les paul
large headstock with pearloid logo and custom emblem
medium sized 18:1 brushed nickel grovers
hand carved bone nut
MoP split block inlays on ebony board with binding
24 frets, medium-jumbo stainless steel
5 piece maple set neck with a long tenon
slightly figured top(very random bits of quilt and flame throughout)
korina body without chambering or weight relieving, but with a tummy cut
standard les paul controls(pickup switch on upper bout, dual volume/tone)
tone pros brushed nickel bridge and tailpiece
all cream plastic-ware including toggle switch "poker chip"
separate coil cuts and coil swap switches as push pulls
500k alpha push pulls for the volumes and neck tone, CTS 500k for bridge tone
natural center to medium green edge burst in a satin finish, natural back and stained neck.
it would come in three versions. one with pearly gates, one with an a5/a4n and a2/a8b phat cat set, and one with an a5/a4n phat cat and stock pearly gates bridge. obviously the ones with phat cats would have less alpha pots and more CTs pots. phat cats would have brushed covers, PGs would be zebra.
as far as finish options, i guess i'd offer it in a natural center/royal blue burst too:dunno:
i'd also have a matching BC rich USA custom mockingbird set to go with it, though a couple of the features would be different. like:
cloud inlays
extra deep high fret cutaway
matching slightly figured maple headstock face
mahogany/maple 5 piece neck-thru with 3 pieces of mahogany/2 maple
as far as finish options, only the top and headstock would reflect color changes; offered in natural, deep but faded green, and faded royal blue.
