Ya know this kinda corporate crap must get on the teets of the average Gibson worker.
What I'm saying is, there must be a small number of people serving fantastic luncheons and free airfare junkets to the press around the world for some foolish "Robot guitar"...while the people on the floor making ALL the guitars, are told they don't need basic supplies.
I don't want to see another Robot guitar, for as long as I live.

I think Gibson has become reliant on the reputation of the name. Suburban 14 year olds read magazine articles and think "Wow! I gotta get a Gibson." Throw in some gadgetry that appeals to the video gamers and they're hooked. Who needs to know how to tune when you've got robot guitars and modeling amps? Who needs to worry about tone when putting together a $1500 guitar when the software will just mask it anyway? But Moooooooooom, I neeeeeeeed this guitar!

It's a cool idea but how lazy do you have to be to not tune your guitar? I've been thinking and that system could actually be applied to other things that would revolutionize guitar as we know it...but right now it's just a gadget for lazy people...

Maybe one of these days, Gibson will fall under some good management and WAKE THE F UP!! We can only hope, until then, no new Gibbos for me.
