Ok, I'm sick of not being able to play guitar and I know that a tube amp of any variety is too loud or too inflexible to use. So can you guys recoment me a headphone out SS modeler amp or something of that sort?

I really like the blues and slide. I also like classic rock, and wouldn't be opposed to playing with some high gain stuff (I don't play metal, but messing around is fun).

Also, I would like to keep the bang for the buck factor in if possible.

Thanks in advance.

Used 2.0, or swing for an XT. XT > All in this dept!

Well... all but an amp DI'd and sent through a cabinet impulse.

So far it is pretty one sided, do line6 devices really own the market? I saw a panasonic thing that allowed you to slow down CDs without bastardizing the pitch so you could play with them. Anyone know anything about those? I've been having trouble finding them on the internet.

I know that there a few practice amps in the Trading Post. Xeromus has got a little SS Orange amp in there IRRC.

Well I am considering a SS amp. Which means I will be looking online all summer while I try to rake some cash in for something... At least I will be able to play my dad's amps during that period, lol.

Plus I really need the whole headphone feature, otherwise I would get a small tube amp like the single ended el84 head.

I have the now discontinued Johnson J-Station, and it is an excellent little practice tool. In my opinion, the gain-tones sound significantly better than the POD 2.0.

You can also run it through a little cheap solid-state practice amp at very low volumes.

Or, maybe a Roland Micro Cube, if they have a headphone option?
So many choices these days...

Look for a Marshall Lead 12 on eBay or locally. Small enough to sound good at low volumes for at home and it will keep up with a drummer and bassists pretty good. Not all out face melting volumes but at modest comfortable jamming levels it hangs in there really well. It takes pedals really well too.
