Re: I'm waiting.
New drivers for my 80's USSR made Radiotekhnikas. Best "bang for the buck" speakers of their time
Originals were quite busted, and I wanted to keep them in stock condition. Found out the company and factory still exists and builds home audio in Lithuania. And they even had one vendor here in Finland: Some small shop, that probably had been shipping them in Finland for decades.
So I called them and they said they can order direct replacements from the factory. I got really excited about it. They even were really cheap. They did said it may take a while, as they'll get them with their next shipment.
After two months of waiting I called them and they said they're waiting the shipment.
5 months, and they're still waiting the shipment.
About 10 months later, I had forgotten the whole thing, thinking I'm not getting them: They called from then shop that my new drivers were there. Got them by mail few days later.
They were definitely worth the wait. Considering the price, I don't think I could have gotten better, even with a budget double what I paid for them.
