Sorry Guys, he got the guitar from me and I took it straight to the shop so he couldnt get a photo. I sent him a PM and he said it was OK for me to post a pic of it though.

Pfff... you know the saying : Naysayers gonna' naysay. This one is already bought and paid for foo'. This guy doesn't mess around when it comes to guitars. :smokin:
I like the guesses in this thread so far, because any of them would be a great addition to my lineup.
What I mean by polarizing, when it comes to this next addition, is that when I got something like my strat, a les paul or my j-45 ; those are all guitars that 90% of guitarists dig to some extent. I am predicting that some people will agree with me that this guitar will crown the lot, and others will disagree that it's the guitar to stand out from my rig. Time will tell. I still think this is by far the nicest guitar I've owned, and I've owned some nice guitars.

I'm pretty sure that Gretsch Guitars are all made in Japan. Except for custom shop models.
