Its my only distortion. I haven't tried a Jeckyll and Hyde but I think the Pinnacle II sounds awesome way better then any boss pedals I have played but thats expected. I can get a tone close to an SD-1 but way improved plus alot of other tones. I use it with an EQ pedal to increase versatility. On mine the interactivity of the controls is a little weird but I think on newer ones this has been fixed with the contour knob being more of a sweepable mid and more useable. High Gain wise I think its more JCM800 then Rectifier but with an eq I could get some more metal tones although not super saturated modern tones its very much more vintage then modern which i like.
