Installed Saturday Night Specials

I found the stock Jazz to be rather unpleasant. Too bassy, no mids, brittle high end. Thankfully a mag swap seems to fix those issues, at least for me.
I have one in my Jackson DXMG along with a JB in the bridge spot. I love it. Nice and clear and chimey with plenty of low end and no nasally mids.
But that just goes to show that we're fortunate to have so many choices to suit different tastes.

If I ever seen a Trem spaced set for sale used I would grab them...I think that would require custom shop though? Seem to always hear so many positive things about the SNS set and it sits in that 'Goldilocks' wind/output area that I dig. For me, sometimes A4 can be jaunting....kind of like consumer headphones that have the baked in desired EQ. So accustomed to A5 flavored pickups that A4 can be like listening to your music on mixing monitors...showing you the 'natural' sound which can be hard to adjust. I would be curious if anyone has done some magnet tweaking with them.

Admittedly, the BKP Black Dogs and VH2s are some of my fav 'Goldlilocks' but I havent bought BKPs in years due to the prices. Always wondered if the SNS could be my Duncan alternative.
