Why do people put the strings over the tailpiece sometimes? Is there any difference in feel at all? I've seen that Zakk Wylde and a couple other people do it to, what's the deal?

It is used on some Peavey's as well.

It's very simple
If you have Microsoft photo editor, open any image file with it. Click "File" and "property". There you can tranform it from 24bit color to 8 bit gray scale.
Once the image becomes black/white picture, click "image" and "balance" where you can adjust brightness and contrast. Also, if you click "effect", you can see several FX options such as negative, stamp. It's pretty simple software but I think it's pretty powerful.
