Fellow SDUGFers, it is with the great pleasure that I introduce to you today, the Custom Shop Online Store: customshop.seymourduncan.com

With the launch, we offer over 50 of our most popular products, with your choice of many options to easily customize it. Pick your magnets, pole pieces, logo or no, potted or not potted. Derek has agreed to allow an affordable $20 custom engraved cover for many of the pickups, just upload your artwork. As time goes on, you'll notice many more pickups will be added.

For the next week, we are offering Duncan forum members a 10% discount on all CS pickups purchased through the online store. Here is the code you want to put in during checkout: BPEY5K11H7439

If you want something wound a little hotter or a little more vintage and don't get the option, no worry – just let us know in the notes. To our friends in the EU, due to regulations we aren't able to ship pickups directly to you. But feel free to use the site to build your pickup and have your distributor order it for you.

If you notice anything amiss or broken, shoot me a PM.

Awesome...good excuse to order that IM1 that I wanted for some time.

BIN has been clicked.

Re: Introducing: The Custom Shop Online Store

I agree that this is overdue, but I am definitely not going to complain! Better late than never and Seymour Duncan has always been overly generous to us along with listening to our wishes. I think we all owe SD & Co. a big and nice thank you no matter what!

EDIT: Will floor shop custom pickups be added as well? Like the option to get a '59 set without wax potting, 4-con, with the SD logo, in a color not available for standard production models? Or even the ability to order it with a non-stock magnet (like a '59 with an Alnico II) or leave a note saying you would like it wound lighter/hotter?

Re: Introducing: The Custom Shop Online Store

And we EU residents are left with our shady, incompetent and in bad faith importers, which BTW want Custom Shop prices for a short-legged Seth, and have ridiculous mark-ups.

Don't you believe me? Have a look here:

http://crismusic.com/dettaglio.asp?pid=4365

€ 570,00 for a CS set, which is $ 745.00 at today's Exchange rate.

What a wasted opportunity to change all this!

So, don't expect any additional business from EU residents, specially NOT more single-coil orders from the italian side, which is ALSO the FENDER importer.

Wanna know why, you do the math, Derek.

You should try Alnico 8 next time. Works great for thin, whiny complaining! :bigthumb:

Re: Introducing: The Custom Shop Online Store

Excellent.

One layout change that I think should be made is making the Categories list at the bottom horizontal and not vertical. It can even be aligned to the left. It just looks out of place the way it is.

Re: Introducing: The Custom Shop Online Store

Nice. :)

I signed up for the forum to learn more about hybrid pickups and now this happens. Perfect timing. ;)

Re: Introducing: The Custom Shop Online Store

What color is "parchment"?

BTW, the search isn't optimal, e.g. you can't search for "78" or "'78".

Isn't that off white? Just a bit tho... Not creme and all... PG+, if I remember right, should be of that color.
