Is there a 20 watt (or less) amp that sounds like a Marshall JCM 800?

Well, the thing is, part of the 800's appeal is that it will liquefy your guts. For something a bit more tame, yet still sounds good, I would recommend the DSL15.

I'd give anything to find what you are looking for, but I have looked extensively and it does not exist as far as I can tell. Most of the amps being suggested to you are nothing like a JCM800. If you want low-volume JCM800 you'd probably be better off with one of the modeling amps like a Vox Valvetronics than a real tube amp. About the closest you will get from Marshall in low wattage right now is a DSL 40c. It has a half-power switch. It isn't exactly a JCM800 tone either, but its much closer than any smaller Marshall amp using EL84 tubes.
