He said that's unnecessary since I'm upwards of 60 miles from him. Sounded like a nice guy at least.

two EVs would be the beeez neeez. I'd get it, sell the mesa one (or is it basically a clone of an EV?) and find a used second EV to load into it. worth firing it up like that though just to see what's shaking.

That's a good idea actually, but those EV's are so damn expensive, I don't think I could drop $200 on a speaker. I could always just switch the speakers around for a bit and see how the EV sounds on top, since it's a stereo cab. If I were to replace the C90, I'd probably go with some eminence offering, as they're way inexpensive and out of all the replacement speakers I've used, they always win.

But who knows, this EV could be magic and I don't know it yet.


You know, I originally set out to find another 2x12 to get something smaller/lighter than my Fender cab. This one is both, but by such a small amount that it's practically negligible. Still, I have a feeling that a smaller 2x12 will never have the tone of a bigger one, and the tone comes first. And this cab has removable casters unlike my Fender, which will make it so much easier to get from A to B.

That was some extremely low bullsh*t! Why the hell would you even say something like that in someone's thread when they say they are going to buy it? That is just rubbing it in. I'd be extremely pissed, and I must say my opinion has been lowered.
