ISP Decimator vs. NS-2... QUICK ANSWERS PLZ

Hey guys, I'm going to buy a noise gate/suppressor and I've heard some who advocate the ISP, and others who think the Boss is a better deal. Which one works better?

Which is cheaper? Does the ISP's one knob mean less control in noise reduction, and are the Boss's 2 knobs and 2 modes superior to it?

You'll only use one mode on the Boss. Reduction is just turning the pedal on/off, and Mute either reduces noise or mutes the signal. You'll have the decay knob on zero anyways, too. So the pedals in that aspect are pretty equal.

If you're going to be using it in the loop to hill amp hiss, I'd get the ISP. If you're using it infront of the amp to reduce feedback, get the NS-2. In the loop, the NS-2 adds high end and presence to your tone, and I find it doesn't reduce that much hiss as compared to the loss of sustain while using cleans.

Thanks Jeff! But how does the NS-2 add brightness in the loop but not in front of the amp? Would this not be the same with the ISP? also keep in mind a 6-band EQ is on it's way to my house as we speak...

I have no idea how it changes tone in the loop and not infront of the amp, maybe because the loop runs the whole preamp section through the pedal, not just the guitar?

The RR-1 is great, but I have to say, my Schecter is just about on par with it, playing and sounding wise. The only difference between the two I'd say are the feel, because of the woods, construction, and bridge type. Makes me think twice about dropping another 1100 on a guitar next time .
