I'm not up on Grosh's used prices, but that actually looks like a pretty good deal, and certainly should retain its value.
I have a friend who custom ordered a tele from Don ... it was Lake Placid Blue with a hum bridge and single neck, a tummy contour, and top binding ... very nice ax!
but, you got an ax that definitely sets you apart from the pack

as far as the trem issue, I'd agree with Rid and Joneser - double check your set up heights, etc ... I've noticed that at certain points, the springs have a "sympathetic" vibration that can be solved with a turn of the screws ... but as usual, make your adjustments incrementally
I'm a little surprised you're swapping pickups so soon after getting it, but on the other hand, I can think of a few SDs that would sound great in that ax!
