Presently, just 2. Dean hardtail select, and 80`s Musima Lead Star Strat.

Re: It's that time again. How many guitars do you own now?

I currently have 9, some are nice and some are junk... but everytime someone new comes into my room the first question is always "Why do you have so many guitars?"

Because they are all different, ok? :fing2:

Re: It's that time again. How many guitars do you own now?

Yeah people have a really hard time understand how different guitars are. My girlfriend is finally coming around. Her "limit" has gone from 10 to 20. But that'll go up too. :)

Re: It's that time again. How many guitars do you own now?

I have 6, although it doesn't feel like it.

Cort Impala (strat)
Epi G400
Epi LP
Sebring P-bass - electronics are messed up, need to fix it.
Cheapo acoustic - I never play it anymore, my nephew messes around with it now.
Custom built Starfire/175 copy - I made this with my teacher years ago. It was never really finished and now the neck is just not for me. Shame because it would have been a really nice guitar, I just never got around to having him finish it.

Re: It's that time again. How many guitars do you own now?

This got me thinking of all the guitars I've got rid of down the years (usually to pay the rent)
Guitars I no longer own
Ibanez Roadster II fretless bass
J&D bros bass
Charvel spectrum
Ibanez Destroyer II (in the candy apple red, why oh why did I sell it)
Some cheap acoustic twelve string, which I also miss
two very cheap plywood LP copies
My first 3/4 size classical (gave that one to my brother in law)

Now all I have is two electrics, one acoustic (which is a bit burnt) and a mandolin.

If I could get them all back..... I would.

either you collect that year or that was one hell of a shopping spree :D

'82 was the first year of production for the S-500. I think it's also the best year. The neck design was changed in '83. Also the electronics changed slightly through the early years. In '89 the S-500 was completely redesigned. The current version isn't bad, but they don't match the first one's.

Fourteen.

Four of which I NEED, ten of which I wanted dang it!

I can relate!!!

Most of these get used on a pretty regular basis... there's about to be a shakedown though! Trying to figure out what should go isn't too easy... all of 'em have fairly unique voices.

1. PRS Swamp Ash Special '04
2. Gibbo LP Flametop (Gary Moore???) '02
3. Gibbo LP Special '03 (singed by Les!)
4. Gibbo Custom Shop Melody Maker '86
5. Fender Eric Johnson Strat '05

8. Tokai ST62 Strat reissue '86
9. ESP X-Tone(LP/335 mutant)
10. Hamer Diablo '93 (superstrat type)
11. Washburn HB-35
12. Alverez PD100S Martin knock-off
13. Ibanez ATK bass, MIJ w/koa top '96

Re: It's that time again. How many guitars do you own now?

2 or 3, meaning two electrics I play regularly and an acoustic that hasn't been out of its case in years.

Fender MIM Nashville Tele
Schecter/Fender Parts-o-PT (Tele w. humbuckers)
Washburn Dreadnought

We won't count the kids' purple Ibanez GAX.

I'm with you there. My acoustic doesn't often see daylight. I like to kid myself it started when the kids were babies, so if I was practising at night an unplugged electric or electric through headphones was quieter. Truth be told, I've never been much of a protest singer. :)
