I was watching some Jaco this morning, stumbled upon this concert in Belgium with Paul Mousavizadeh on guitar and remembered this thread. It was 1985 so I guess no matter what you played you had to use a guitar like that?

Jackson Soloist, FTW!

Actually, a Soloist isn't that out of place in jazz. One of mine has a Hot Rails in the middle, and it's a great, balanced, even-handed sound that works really well when you don't want to fall into a tonal genre or trope.

The 137 is a beautiful guitar, and I thought about buying one...but it was heavier than any of my Les Pauls! I went with the 335, which has to be one of the most versatile guitars ever made. Love 'em!

I had a Howard Roberts Fusion for awhile, but man, that guitar was the brightest guitar I've ever played. I've been curious about the 137, though. Hard to find out there.
