When I was in high school, I discovered the Dunlop Jazz III pick. Shortly after getting use to it, my playing rapidly improved. I play with them for the next fifteen years. In 2005, I switched back to a normal 1.0mm pick to accommodate my bands desires to have logos printed on our picks. I've been using "normal" picks since. Tonight I found one of my old Jazz IIIs. I've been trying to relearn playing with them. So far, it has been a bit of a challenge. It's like learning to play all over again. Lol.

I used jazz III's for a few years until i discovered the dava grip jazz, for me it is the ultimate pick

I bought these and do like em more than the standard jazz III, but try the dava grip jazz.

Jazz iii too slippery. Ibanez Paul Gilbert picks are the same size but waaay more comfortable than any of the dunlops. There's even a sandpaper grip version.

I use nothing but the sandgrip ones.

Ever since I switched to Jazz III's, I have never broken a string. I get so much better control over my strumming and picking without excessive force.

The big question is...WHAT THE HELL IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE RED AND BLACK ONES???!!!

I just can't figure it out. I prefer the black ones for some reason.

I also love the max grip versions. Mmm...grippy.

The black ones are a little more stiff.
