Yup, I've tried them... Definately got a bit of the Jazz III feel, but still too big for me, coming from the standard Jazz III size... good if you want the tip but not the small size, but I didn't like them... I'm sticking to Carbon Fibre Max Grip Jazz III's..

They are one of my favourite picks. Started using the Jazz IIIs after reading a Guitar Edge article where heaps of players were interviewed about how the Jazz III helped them with their playing. Played them for a while, until I started a new band, and realised it was too small for me for my style of rhythm playing. The XL filled the gap nicely. These and the Hetfield Black Fang 1.14mm picks are mostly what I use now.

I keep a handful of them around.
Going back to a "full size" pick after getting used to a Jazz III feels like trying to play guitar with a pie plate but the Jazz III XL's do come in handy now and then.
