JB & JAZZ vs EMG 81 & 85

I'M A HEAVY JB & JAZZ USER BUT THIS NIGHT MY DRUMMER CAME HOME WITH A CHEAP EPIPHONE (VERY DAMAGE IN THE NECK AND BODY) BUT GUESS WHAT? TIHIS THING HAVA A PAIR OF EMG 81 & 85 I'M THINKING IN GIVING IT A TRY AND SWAP THE JB & JAZZ AND TAKE THE EMG RIDE... IT WORTh THE WORK?

WISH ONE YOU CONSIDER YOUR BEST IN PERFORMANCE...

I don;t know but I already make the swap and the EMG set really don;t have any clean (compare with JB) but the Overdrive sound mega great with this little thing (EMG) better than JB more presence and body... anyway I got to difference sound JB & Jazz in the Ibanez one and Emg set 81 & 85 on the EPiphone...

I think the JB "roars" more than the 81, I hate the 85 in the neck and I'm not a fan of the Jazz either, lol.

i am not a big fan of the emg 81 or the duncan jazz but i really love the JB and the 85 in the bridge pos.

They are though two completely different pickup combos and i love them both......so i cannot vote for the one or the other..........

Get a second guitar

i love jazz distortion combo and the jab isn't unbearable. but i like them better than those emgs.
