JB+ is not a bad pickup at all, infact i think the lead tone is about as sweet as ive had it, and the rhythm tone is more in focus than anything ive had.
its smaller sounding for sure than say the C8 but more defined and harsh for clarity sort of like a passive EMG.
it also takes eqs quite well.
its like a blend of A5 and Ceramic overall imo.

sounds great btw, but I think I prefer your C8 tones, they just sound way thicker.

yeah C8 was thicker but all it had going for it was a heavy sound, but it wasnt actually tight on the bottom. squishy and not fast at all.
if i added a true bass guitar to this clip then the entire mix would be in focus alot better than the C8 could be.

i have 4 albums but there mostly electronic and there are 2 metal trance songs in there.

that was a JB8 ran into a marshall valvestate at the time

i first played it out live to see where i wanted the notes
then i resynced it via midi and fixed the timings etc.

i did that by making new little 10 second addition every day instead of making the whole song all at once.
so i was trying to keep a fresh mind set for each next sequence
