Jerry Cantrell wah

Re: Jerry Cantrell wah

Buffered, non-TB.

It's a GCB-95 in there with a different sweep cap (.012uf) and a second pot hooked to the main pot to cut off top end in the sweep. Actually amazing how much those two tiny changes make the vanilla GCB-95 much more usable.

Re: Jerry Cantrell wah

Buffered bypass, but it doesn't seem to suck tone like my old GCB-95 did. Not entirely sure why as it's still the same buffer circuit so far as I know?

Re: Jerry Cantrell wah

I'll leave this thread up for the hell of it but I'm out...buffered wahs don't do well with my rig so I'm out...bummer too, I sort of dig the clips I was finding...

Re: Jerry Cantrell wah

If you dig the sound of it you can be bypass it as easily as any GCB-95.

There are too many cool wahs out there for me to want to drop $160 on a JC95 then mod it plus the new Dunlop wahs aren't great for modding IMHO...too many of them have issues after mods that involve traces lifting and stuff like that...

Re: Jerry Cantrell wah

Just look for a true bypass wah that has a potentiometer to fine tune the toe end of the sweep.
