Jimi's Marshall is on Reverb

The description doesn't even say how it sounds, or if it works at all.

If I were in that class and had the money to burn, I would just carefully slide out the original chassis, slip in a new handwired Freidman or a custom handwired Super Lead, rock the heck out of it with that cool vibe case, then slip the original guts back in when time to sell again.

I did get an e-mail from Reverb, I'll let you know if a charge for $354,000 shows up on my account.

But seriously, let's get back to the OT, we're talking about one of Jimi's Marshalls here and how many body parts one would need to sell to buy it, a "body hack" if you will.

Its a $350K boat anchor.
Can't really do any electrical maintenance or upgrades w/o destroying the value.
Purely a Prestige thing. Belongs in a museum.
About .03% of the general public can afford that.
To be honest loved James Marshall Hendrix as a player. His pic hangs on my wall but he always had sh*t tone IMO.
Just how it was back then.

Unless you are left-handed (like myself), none of you are worthy of this amp.

If you dare to play it, you righties will get nothing but Slashtone (TM) out of it.

Only if you have these too.

Haha ;)

There's gotta be some seriously rich people around in the USA...

I'm gonna try ask every millionaire i find, for a wee "ten grand, for a cup of joe". XD

But no way I can afford something like that....

...I hope it will be wellt taken care of, maybe donated to a museum.. I think that would be the best :)

-Erl :D

****, if you're going to re-cap and re-tube you might as well replace the rest of the electronics. And that tolex is grubby (someone even painted on it!) probably best to replace that as well. :P

Re-capping a vintage amp (and re-tubing for that matter) is considered allowable by the community in order to keep the amp working and playable; no need to replace any other components.

If you've ever dealt with those big electrolytics, you'd know that they last maybe 15-20 years max with regular use.

They filter out the DC ripple currents.

(BTW, those can caps are a source of stored deadly electric shock, so if you're poking around in there, drain them first!)

Man, instead of art forgeries.... I'm going to get into amp forgeries...

Since Jimi owned probably a dozen and toured with about 5-6 of those.

Some Blues Real Estate douche is going to buy this.....

Then hes going to plug up all his Strymons and Chase Bliss pedals using George L ultra low capacitance cables.from his super fancy pickups in his boutique relic'd guitar and then be like......

Why don't I sound like Jimi????
