Just bought a new Fender Showmaster HH QBT

I just picked up a new Fender Showmaster QBT (Quilt Bubinga Top) with double SD humbuckers. It has a SD Reverse Polarity '59 at the neck and an SD Pearly Gates at the bridge. It has locking machine heads and a set neck, very nice instrument.

I bought it on ebay this weekend, so it will be a few weeks before I get it up here in Canada. But I have played this guitar in stores up here... and it roars! Through a Peavey Classic 50 overdrive channel on the bridge p/u the tone was incredible!

Has anyone on the list ever played this instrument... any comments, feedback?

Thanks,
Brent.

Once the guitar arrives, I will post some sound clips.

The Fender web site seems to be temporarily down right at the moment. But here is the link that I have saved...

Here is a Guitar World review of the guitar... it must have been on a very early version of the guitar. As the article says that it needs to have locking machine heads, but all versions of the guitar that I have seen have them!

Check it out, let me know what you think,
Brent.
