Just got a Vox AD120VTH! Need a little help... what cab?

Hey guys, I pulled the trigger and got myself a Vox AD120VTH and now I need a speaker cab for it.

I am thinking a 2x12 would be the most convenient thing but I found a Laney 4x12 with Celestions for only $250 localy. Would a 4x12 be overkill for bedroom practice levels even if I use the power selector? $250 is just a steal for a Laney 4x12 and is hella heap in comparison to what they would cost new. Let me know what yu think!

A Mesa 2x12 with Celestion V30s would be awesome; that's what I use with my Valvetronix. Using a 4x12 isn't necessarily overkill, given that you can tame the volume with the power selector. At $250, I don't see how you can go wrong!

$250 is a great deal and if you have the room a 4x12 is king. BTW, I ran my AD60H with 2-2x12's. 1-Vintage 30 loaded and 1-Texas Heat/Swamp Thang. It sounded huge and tight.

I think I will go snag that Laney. In total, I got the Vox and 4x12 for only $600...boo yah!

I use the matching Vox AD 2X12 but with V30s...This amp loves V30s! A 4x12 is overkill in my opinion!

so far its cheaper than any 2x12 I have come across.... I am going to call a couple local shops and if they dont have anything used for like $300 I am going for the 4x12, just to cheap to pass up!

Get the 4-12. Wait till you hear that 120W head on the Laney! It'll be the first SS rig that ever blew you away. The best feature on the Valvetronix is the variable wattage. And the onboard tuner is sure convenient.

I sometimes use my Marshall AV 4x12 cab and I Love it....What I don't love,is lifting it in and out of my van, especially at 1:30 am after a gig! LOL....

This is why the 2x12 is usually plenty, plus the V30s are pretty efficient..
