Just got my Jcm 800.

It is one of the finest amps I've ever played. The jcm 800 2003 is dead silent, MAGNIFICENT TONE. Every distortion pedal I try with it sounds gorgeous! I honestly can't go wrong! Yeah, I'm a Marshall man for good. I'll give you the little details later, just letting you guys know that Marshalls are one of the best amps made by man. Now I shall jam.

It could be the tubes your using in it.

No it has a bad Gain mod that i need to get taken out of it.... It came in used to a store i worked at for extra money over the xmas holidays... someone added a 4th preamp tube and i had it sent out for repairs 3 times trying to get the tech the store uses to quiet it down.. He sheilded some things, changed a few Caps, and put new tubes in... Still too much hum for me... So i am taking it to a better tech when i can afford it....

Yeah.. i find Dm7s hum a lot, Gmaj13s and Ebm9s a lot less.

(gotta throw out some 900 BS once in awhile...between MGs, AVTs and D/TSLs, I'm runnin out of things to hate :laugh2: )

Except for my '70 50 watt small box head, my '82 JCM-800 50 watt combo amp was the best Marshall I've ever owned. Congrats! My '82 blew away every other amp I compared it to. Great, great amps...if you get a good one. Lew

Hey, HEY!!! LOL Lay off the 900's, at least the ones with EL34's. :laugh2:
