Just messing around with the new guitar, it sounds and plays okay.

This is my Magnum I picked up from the local pawn shop for $65. I played it through my rig the other day and it could do with new pickups as the noise is bugging me.

Installing new pickups is easy. I have been doing that recently. Fixed up a couple of pawn shop guitars. Try it, it's quick and easy to learn.

You should learn to use your little finger as well.

I have been using my little finger lately, but I have never bothered with it during solos or rhythm unless it's Voodoo Child's famous lines.

Why is this a new thread instead of being tacked onto the original one about this guitar?

What's with the neckbeard?

Looks like you might have fluoro lighting in there, and I believe you may be using a CRT monitor, too. Both great sources of noise, especially with a lot of gain on single-coil pickups. Personally i think there's much too much gain, the sound is like a generic bright guitar, the subtle classic Strat sounds are not much in evidence.

It'd be good to hear a clean clip, or one with only mild overdrive, in order to get some idea of the guitar's qualities.

Let's hear a Curtis Mayfield cover. For instance, Superply?

Your tone is a little bit in the background, but from what I can hear, I think it sounds good!

(pay no heed to the trolls here)

Sounds good. Those wild spacey delayed sounds are always fun to play around with.

It would be tidier to keep everything about this guitar in one place.

Are you suggesting with this that you are a forum administrator here?

Cut the kid some slack... he's passionate about it.

This is the section that should be getting lots of activity.

No. I am suggesting that it should not be necessary to hunt through several threads to collate one story.

True but, as you know, it is impossible to please all of the people all of the time.

I think this guitar needs to have several parts of a full story.. all I know now is it needs a new trem block.. as the thing the bar goes in broke :(
