I heard several youtube videos and liked what I heard enough to convince the wife to let me buy it.

It's funny. I'm kinda in this same boat. Loved 'em both when I first got them. (Palladium and 5150, I mean.) But I just was swapping them side by side with my Tri-Parallel mixer, and relized that neither is really my cup 'o tea. I'll have to decide what to do with them. Or try tweaking them a bit more to my flavor.i like the palladium a lot. i got one cause i liked the idea of it and heard robben ford say that he liked it. i totally get what he said and its a great pedal. its like a good tuned 5150 preamp with a lot of eq control. for me, its not really my sound (which robben also said) but it feels and sounds damn good. i think the diamond head is more tonally in my ball park so curious how you like it
If I had the cash to do so, believe me, I'd find out.thats a lot of control for sure but never seen an amp with even an 11 band graphic eq and im sure its usually at the end of the preamp chain, not in the power section. not sure how that would work.
And I probably meant that the graphic would go at the end of the preamp before the power stage. But the standard b/m/t tone stack would be replaced by three parametrics.thats a lot of control for sure but never seen an amp with even an 11 band graphic eq and im sure its usually at the end of the preamp chain, not in the power section. not sure how that would work.
