Well, you're from Munich, so you get +10 metal points.

Looks awesome Ben!

I've always liked that Kamikaze (and the purple tiger)...though I'm not a fan of "graphic" guitars, someday when I hit the lotto, I'll buy one jes for grins.

BTW..you have any pics of your Wayne? I don think I've seen that one (though I know what Warren's guitar looked like)

Re: Kamikaze Project PHASE ONE ... *Pics*

I've seen that guitar with maple and rosewood.
Mine more of a DeMartini guitar by default; it's not a signature model or anything.

Both of my Lynchs have amazing paint jobs!
The difference in quality you get between ESP and LTD is staggering, if you can even call the LTD "graphic" a paint job.
That's one of the reasons I don't understand while people knock ESP guitars when they've only ever seen or played an LTD.

I totally agree. And then they've only played the low-end LTD's at that. EC1000's are my favorite Les Pauls. ;)

I think that people who knock Floyds probably have never owned a guitar with an Original Floyd Rose on it. The differences in balance, tuning stability, and overall quality between an OFR and a licensed one are pretty vast.

I agree with this too... comparing an Ibanez Lo-TRS II to an original OFR (i have had both and still have the OFR on my strat) is like comparing a rice rocket with a bad engine to a muscle car thats been lovingly cared for.

TO,

The Kami is about THE friggin' coolest looking guitar ever made. When I think of "back in the day" I immediately flash to George and his Kamikaze. To date, I have never played one, or an ESP for that matter. I see the lower end versions in the stores, but the finish just does not do justice to the real deal. If I could have one more axe to keep forever, it would be a GL Kamikaze, original colors (darker matte finish I believe). I showed my wife one at one time, she thought it was hideous looking. She's about as straight-laced as they come, so I knew that meant the guitar was absolutely killer looking :laugh2:

Right on bro, hope that project turns out great.

LOL! My wife is so used to the crazy looking guitars, she looks at me funny when I show her a Les Paul .. 'You can't seriously want that thing! It doesn't have an animal skin or glow in the dark!'

My suggestion is don't waste your time on the LTD Lynchs ... I've played them, and they are an absolute joke compared to the ESP.

The original Kamikaze, the prototype which appears in the In My Dreams video, is the one with the matte finish ... too bad it got soaked in the making of the video!!!

Without giving anything away, when you see the neck for this guitar, you will be blown away!! :D

Nice guitar body! You're the man. You should email Lynch via his website - he'd probably get a kick out of that....

Know what's strange? I actually prefer my LTD to the higher end ESP model. I played them both. I have an EC-1000 LTD and played a Standard Series Japan Eclipse II. The LTD has much higher quality hardware with the earvana nut, tonepros bridge, etc. etc. The Eclipse II has none of that. Plus the EC-1000 is 24 fret, the II is 22 fret. I really like the Eclipse II but I couldn't justify paying double the price of the 1000 for a guitar that's very similar and that I'd want to change the pickups and hardware in anyway. The ESP japan guitars are some of the highest quality in the world I've seen though. Same goes for Ibanez Prestige.

Hmmm... How many points does one get for being from Norway, the cradle of black metal?
