By the way, I've been using one of these on my pedalboard for more than half a year now. Work fine, but a little thick. Not as small as a patch cable made at 90 degrees.
There's a better one that is all metal, made by Hosa, that I use on all my top-jack guitars (SG's etc.). It fits snugly, and works great. This way, I don't have a full-size plug sticking out, and I don't have to have any cables with right-angle plugs on them. Look for a Hosa dealer on Ebay and you should find them.
