Re: Laney VC50 clips here
Hmm lets see.. overall the amp was recorded with a crap computer mic (which are always crappy) into Cubase SX with major bass eq boosting and a little here and there. Im running the amp with my weber minimass clamped down pretty hard, not quite max. I ran the gain at 10 and drive at 7, with the volume just over 3; the thing cranks just over 3 on the distortion channel. The amp eqs were 1, 8, 2, 0, from bass to presence respectively, reverb somewhere around half. Anything above half on the reverb seems to just add to the length of the reverb, doesnt really put more into the mix.
Clean i recorded with the minimass off, and volume around 2 or 3, i think it was on the clean chan with the boost on, with drive at 6-7. I really dont remember the eq i used, but for simplicity lets just say they were at at 5, presence at 0. Reverb around halfway once again. The lead was with the bridge JB, the clean was with the full shred neck.
Once again, the clips do sound a little thin, especially on the bass because of the mic. The tone for the clean clip really got cut down, i dont really know if i can bring it out more than that.
