Fake.
Script looks slightly wrong on switch plate and truss cover, Grover backs look strange, fretboard looks odd -like richlite or something, serial number doesnt look straight, and is it me or do the gold mounting ring screw heads for the covers look like a mm too big
That is exactly what I told him before he sent me the back of the headstock. None of the gold matches which was my first clue. The fretboard is rosewood, richlite doesn't fade like that. After arguing with him all morning, he returned and got a refund. $450 for a $300 used Chinese guitar.

What caught my eye was the bridge studs - real Gibsons have the small screws with no slots. This one has large screws with the slot for the screwdriver.
My friend told the seller the guitar was fake and got his money back. The seller said she didn't know it was fake and apologized. But yet it is back for sale. The funny thing is when I got this picture I asked why the styrofoam case wasn't the first tip-off? I shouldn't have had to spend an hour yesterday walking someone through the process of spotting a fake Gibson.
The seller is garbage knowingly putting a fake into the guitar ecosystem.

Forgot to ask, did anyone hear the guitar? What if it's great?![]()
