The Schon LP is 25" scale too isn't it?

LP's are still my fav and main guitar and I have played them since I was 12.

Les Paul = unergonomic.

It's not so much the weight, and I like the neck. But damn...that heel is just too big. And spare me the "no pain, no gain" lines. No offense, but I just don't get it. There's a better chance of me rejoining the catholic church.

that's the reason why the LP sounds thick and meaty even at the higher frets.

IMO, on the design of the LP, tone is the number one priority. ergonomics takes the backseat. we should be thankful they put a cutaway on the LP! :laugh2:

By the way, Gibson's new Neal Schon LP has a sculpted neck joint. Unfortunately it also has a floyd rose...

And if it has a Floyd Rose it has no business calling itself a Les Paul. :dammit:

a 25.5" scale les paul with a slightly slimmer body, sculpted heel, tummy cut and a floyd would be BAD ASS. lol

the upper horn gets in the way of what? your enormous man-breast? your extra arm? thin air?

i didnt mean just the upper horn, but like that whole area of the body is too high up and gets in the way of my picking hand a lot more

it does tend to be uncomfortable. The sharp edges make it a bit of a hassle to play at times, digging into your chest and knees.

Sit down and play a strat and you'll know what i mean.

IMHO all guitars can shine in one way or another. The lp and tele are very different beasts. You would be shocked how many dudes record with a lp and use a tele or other guitar live. I love my lp but I know it's pros and cons and choose that or a tele accordingly.
