Let's REVIEW those pedal boards you are using right now.

oh, i agree. its a terrible pic... fail

This thread attempts to point out, that as a musician, or artist, you are much more than the sum of your signal chain.

Everything you do makes a statement about the very sound before it comes out of the speaker. \\

As guitarists, we concern ourselves with the tonal minutae. But let's face it, if you show up to the gig with a bunch of jank pedals on some ratchet board, it doesn't matter if you sound like Jimi Gilmore Vaughn. You have already been judged, especially by that guy with his arms crossed.

So I'm sending the message; Good tone STARTS with a good photo of your board. If you can't be bothered to take a decent photo with an ai driven 4k super-phone and filters, how can we expect you to sound good?

i took a mediocre pic with my old ass phone, and i had boots in the pic. but at least you could easily see what the pedals were. and the awesome patch cables.

What’s your take on socks?

We haven't ran into that situation...yet.
- Just socks? No.
- Lower extremities in the photos in general, no.
- However, visible socks, appropriate for the shoe, and that coordinated somehow either by color or thematically with the board, might work.

Let's don't try and find out.

I think it's a matter of finding the right socks. I have an EQ pedal on the right side of this board that I was using as a boost, but it's not in the photo because these socks are hot enough that I can just leave it turned off.

I think you get down points for distracting from your settings. You might recover some points if you say those socks have a special abrasive sole that makes clicking buttons more efficient.

But I doubt it. :raincloud (ha ha) :burnout:

Unfortunately no outsole on these, but would it help if I told you the pair I'm wearing now has silhouettes of a moose and a squirrel rowing a canoe?

Is this a moose vs a squirrel, each on a canoe, each on a foot design or a collaborative effort?
