Life sucks *warning: pointless rant* has this ever happened to you?

As you most likely all know by now, I'm on the research for a beat up but decent guitar to mod, when THIS comes up:

Perfect! I told myself. Looks, features, price. I felt the drool oozing from my chin while my eyes fiercly deavored the pictures and description until this sentence fell under my regard: local pickup only.
The drool came back in, my eyes lost their bloodshot reflects and fiery and tears fell off them as I realised the dismay in which I had just found myself. Isn't like just terrible?

Has this ever happened to you? Your soulmate on ebay that you can't buy because it's not shipped, or just finding the ultimate thing you need and not being able to get it?

Yup, one guitar I've been looking for for a long time is on ebay and I can't afford it now.

Basically everything I want is half a world away, with shipping taking 6 months, unlikely to ever arrive and costing 3 times the product... Booo, so i have to pay 3 times more for it in store here, where there's no range...Did i mention BOO-HOO

Haha he just replied by saying 'yeah it's a great guitar as you said and it seems to be that it's very well made'.
I'm on a few classifieds in other forums too anyway so I'll see what gives. First I need to convince the parents hehe...
But still, argh. Though this time it's less ARRRGH than before. Just argh.

I just expect to kind of wait it out on ebay. I've been shopping for a project guitar too and finally--after 6 months--was able to get waht I was looking for and at a great price. I truly belive that patience is the only way to take advantage of ebay. Hang in there...
