someone told me that the lil 59 tele pup whould give the tone of an older gibson LP, is this true?

the 59 is supposed to be a recreation of the older lp's and their PAF's (i think), but a lil 59 doesnt sound completely liek anormal 59, and being in a tele, it's not goign to sound much like it

the lil 59 will give you a thicker more paf-ish tone than a stock tele pup. if you put a real paf in a tele it still wouldnt sound like a les paul but it would have a some of that character, as will the lil 59. trying to make a tele sound just like a lp is kinda like trying to make a lp sound like a strat. you can get closer but youll never nail it.
