Lindy Fralin now has an amp line!

Re: Lindy Fralin now has an amp line!

Love the white tolex. Coming from Lindy, its probably fine. I wonder if Lew will carry this?

(btw - I mean "fine" like TLC would call the boy down the street "fine".)

I'd love to hear it.

It looks cool and looks good on paper: cathode bias, tube reverb, etc. I liike the idea of it having a more natural and cleaner tone than the crunchy, grindy, angry buzzing bumble bee tone it seems far to many amps go for these days. :laugh2:

No master volume on that puppy...looks like you'll have to turn it up if you want distortion.

Dan Torres designed Lindy's first line of amps, BTW.

I tried to get my brother Bruce and Lindy hooked up for this project but Bruce felt the money being offered wasn't enough.

Lindy's a nice guy though...I hope he does well with it.

I dunno if I'll be carrying it or not. :)

Thats too bad. It was the first thing I thought of - a Lindy/Bruce collaboration.

Re: Lindy Fralin now has an amp line!

Except for the cathode bias and reverb, (big differences) it's kinda like the 1x12" early 60's Vibrolux----an amp that Fender should have continued producing. They never made many amps that were single 12" with 6L6 output sections...speaker warranty issues? Anyway--looks nice, wish I had an extra 1500 bucks.

On paper at least, it actually looks alot like an amp Bruce and I co-designed years ago called the Crusader.

That amp is a little like a single channel, one 12" speaker, version of the Super Reverb...only with a tweed Bassman tone stack.

Great amp...I wish Bruce had done a little more to market it cause it's still one of my favorite amps that I own.

We put a variable negative feedback loop into it too so you can adjust how loose or how tight the overdrive and overall touch response is.

How much would it cost to get this amp from Bruce at Mission?

Hi Joe! I'm not sure you'd like it any better than your Matchless Chieftan...but you should give Bruce a call: 303-423-4103. I'm sure he'd put one together for you. It's a cool amp! Lew
