Is it loud enough like a valve amp?I honestly think it's my favorite product made by Line 6, for tone, ease of use, and lack of scrolling through parameters. That, and the green and blue pedals and rack units.
I was pretty impressed by the DT series amps. Now that they're on the used market and depretiating like L6 products do, they'll prove to be good bargains on good sounding amps.
How about external pedals? I have a pedal board that I want to use. Will it work just like a regular amp in those kind of situations or will get all digital on me?Oh yeah, they're plenty loud, and they dont have the sterile tone their modelers have.
I also kind of like the Bogner Spyder II amps, but don't like their scrolling way of changing channels. The DT seems more like an all tube amp with knobs and switches.
You can't knock the blue grill Vox's either. They're great amps. I'm not spamming, but I'm selling a blue grill Vox AD60VTH head for only $300 if anyone's interested. I'd keep it, but need money at the moment.
Any particular reason for finding it impractical, volume level, build quality etc. I'm very interested in knowingbecause gigging was I was thinking of with this amp.I sold mine but yes it sounded really good.
I found it impractical for gigging with unfortunately so I didn't hang on to it.
It is a true tube amplifier. I have sat down with one before. It seemed a lot more cleaner than what I wanted, but I think that's because it's basically designed as a platform for the Line 6 Pod and Helix to act as simply footswitches and effects units for people still wanting a tube amp. The big feature is the L6 link which allows you to daisy chain up to four amps for wet/dry/wet stuff. It does it completely on it's own. No need to do any setup yourself. It's all plug and play.
