Re: Line 6 Spider II
I have a Spider II 112... less than a year. I had some real problems getting a good stable sound out of it when I first started with it. Then after a lot of work, I finally learned how to program it. I could get some pretty decent sounds out of it.
But it seemed like it would randomly change on me. I still think the programming would change or drop out sometimes - think of a Windows Blue-screen-of-death type of event - it is, after all just a computer.
But one thing I think I discovered, the Spider is very senstive to the different output levels of pickups. I would have all the channels set to a volume level (that is, make all four channels the same level, controlled by the master volume) - then I would change pickup and suddenly the channels were all different levels. Very frustrating.
If you play one guitar with one pickup - you should be okay.
