Re: List your Guitars and pickups in them
Oh yeah. I've tried a bunch of SD's but always seem to come back to DMZ. Mainly for 80's metal tones, but also for classic rock and beyond. The Tone Zone is a definite fave of mine. In the right guitar the thing creates a tone like no other pup can recreate. *Perfect* for what I do. I like their customer service as well. Always happy to shoot the **** about pups n what not.
Not to take away from SD at all. I've heard great things about their CS and I know I just haven't tried the right pups for my tastes. There are a few SD's I'm looking at for my next project.
But yeah, if you go DMZ I'd go for a classic, like the Super Distortion, first. DMZ has some very extreme, very unique to their name, flavors that I'd hate for you to get and be turned off by instantly. There are some extremely accurate tone descriptions on their site to help you determine what you're after. Good luck if you go the DMZ route! I seriously doubt you'd be disappointed.
TheLivingDead, you seem to be a big DMZ fan, and a real fan of the Tone Zone in the bridge. I've never tried a DMZ pup before.
